Humans and their communication tools: a never-ending story

The history of human communication is a story rich in adventures and developments, from the first signs to today's social networks. From the carrier pigeon, once considered the WhatsApp of birds, to the advent of writing which allowed our ancestors to engrave their thoughts on tablets, communication has undergone many metamorphoses.

Then came the printing press, this machine that produced books like hot cakes, closely followed by the telegraph, a bit like the SMS of the 19th century but with Morse codes.

Oh, and who could forget the phone? This instrument that made real-time conversations possible without having to shout across an entire city.

And then there was radio and television, these two brothers who propelled communication into our homes, followed by the Internet, this virtual world where we spend more time than in our own bathroom. Emails, instant chats, social networks: everything is there to allow us to stay connected, even when we prefer to stay in our pajamas all day.

For my part, I decided to simplify things by limiting myself to the use of the cell phone. A bold choice in a world where the options are as varied as the flavors of ice cream at an Italian ice cream parlor. If you need to contact me, a quick phone call is enough. If I'm available, I'll be happy to answer, otherwise leave me a message on the answering machine and I'll call you back faster than Flash saves the galaxy.
